Forestry and Agriculture

Forestry

The dangers associated with forestry work and the use of chainsaws are obvious and consequently well catered for in terms of personal protective equipment and legislation.  For example, the law requires that anyone using a chainsaw at work must have a minimum of:

  • Head/ear/face protection
  • Gloves/mitts with protection in back of hand
  • Leg and foot protection

Agriculture

Modern farming practices require the use of a wide variety of machinery and chemicals, the majority of which involve some risk.

Those involved in the management of agricultural operations are required to ensure that employees are provided with suitable equipment to provide protection against the various hazards that may be encountered.  Our range of ear, hand, respiratory and general PPE covers many requirements in this sector.
